The first match was between Matangi C /£; Oliver. T. Ranstead and J. < hitty) and Cambridge C (Speake. Garland K. Butler and C. Taylor) the former winning by 7 goals to 2. For the Somers Gup. Matangi B (R. Hlnton, R. Ranstead. W. Ranstead, W. L. Taylor) heal; Cambridge B (A. Fislier. W. Fisher, G. Vosper. J. Butleri by 8 goals to .". The Cameron Cup was the chief attraction of the day's play. Cambridge A (M. Garland. T. Hines. A. McNicol. G. Blennerliassctti beat .Matangi A (G. Ranstead. McQueen. R. H. Town«ond. V. Chitt.v) by o goals to 4. The match produced fast, exhilarating polo, if being a ding-dong go from beginning to end, with nothing between the teams.
