WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.
McGREGOR—EAST
ft.. Mark's Church was chosen for the Redding of Esme, third daughter of Mr. »nd Mrs. E. A. East, of Remucra, and Gordon, third son of Mrs. George McGregor, of Wellington, yesterday afternoon. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an ankle-length •kirt. of cream charmeuse satin. The frock was gathered in Victorian fashion at the waistline, and a deep silver hem •finished the skirt. The tight-fitting bodice was fastened at the left side with a silver spray. Over the face was a Mechlin embroidered net veil, which was -held in place by a cluster of orange blossom at each ear. A sheaf of carnations and Madonna liles was carried. Two bridesmaids were in the 3lisses Betty and Nesta East. Frilled •kirts of apple green taffeta had silver ribbon bands at the waistline, and their picture hats of beige crinoline were trimmed with the same toned ribbon velvet. They carried shower bouquets of pink tiger lilies and carnations. The dainty flower girl. June Harris, wore primrose crepe de chine, embroidered in small baskets of blue forget-me-nots and earned m. basket of pink and blue flowers. Archdeacon Simkin officiated at the service. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Alex McGregor, and Mr. W. Mclvor as groomsman. After the ceremony a large number of guests were entertained at a wedding tea held in the Domain Kiosk, which was exquisitely decorated in pink and blue flowers, with a white wedding bell over the happy iouple. The bride's mother a beige silk crepe de chine and hat to lone.
