RIFLE SHOOTING.
AKARANA CLUB. The second shoot of the Ak.wana Rille Club's fourth tro;>liy series was fired over 300 and 000 yards for trophies presented by Mr. F. Kearsley. the club, and A.B.C. Drapery. Weather conditions were fair, and some <rond individual scores were registered. Silver spoons were won by A. 11. Dixon, A. G. Smith and 11. Snell. The three top men in each section take 3, 2 and 1 points respectively. Details of the shooting are as follow :— Mr. F. Kearslev's Trophy (A Section). —■ I. It. Walker. 38, 41—79; M. Ritchie, ::,,. THAMES DEFENCE CLUB. The members of the Thames Defence Rifle Club met at the range on Saturdav. A tricky wind blowing at intervals made good marksmanship difficult. Competition was for the Labarro trophy, which was won bv J. Morrison with a score of S7. The following are the results :—J.
