MOUNT WELLINGTON GATHERING
A welcome home was tendered Mr. W. J. Jordan. M.P.. on Saturday evening at I Coppins' Hall, Panama Estate Mount Wellington. The gathering took the form of a social evening, Mr. J. Hotham officiating as chairman. About 60 set - tiers attended. The chairman, on. beha t of the district, extended a welcome to Mr. Jordan on his return to the di On Rising to reply Mr. Jordan, who was greeted with applause, f"*™™ sincere thanks to the people of Maim kau for the very fine vote given.him while absent, and *** h « to do bis best to justify the confidence placed in him.
