RAETIHI SWIMMING CARNIVAL.
RAETIHI, Friday. | A successful swimming carnival was held at the newly opened swimming batli at I Raetihi to-day. Messrs. Plank and Jaques acted as starters, and Messrs. Simpson and Whittington as judges. The results were:—■ School boys' race, 25yds: R. Lister 1, K. Ashweli 2. Beginners' race (boys) : C. Suookes 1, G. Lugton 2; girls, J. Bryers 1, Joan Mabbott 2. School girls' race, 25yds: D. Kara 1, N. Barakat 2. Little tots: Joan Shout 1, B. liickard 2. Featherweight boys: N. Fagg 1, E. Gundy 2.. Dash handicap, 25.vds: L. Fisher 1, .T. Bryers 2. Neat dive: D. Plank X, Miss Buckley 2. Girls (IS years and under) : ,T. Guilder 1, A. Buckley 2. Men's handicap, 50yds: D. Plank 1, J. Bryers 2, Ladies' race, 50yds: Miss O'Callaglmr. 1, Miss Buckley 2. Corfu dive: J. Bryers 1, I). Sandford 2. Men's relay (four in team) : D. Plank, L. Fisher, Rickard and Dobson, 1. Cigarette and balloon race: C. Rickard 1. Dual relay race: J. Bryers and Miss Paulger 1.
