PROMISING COLT DESTROYED.

(By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDrN", this day. At Cromwell this morning a finelooking two-year-old colt by Paper Money—Silver Peak, and full-brother to Silver Paper, had to be destroyed. The colt had been brought from Pembroke by W. Stone, and while in the cattle yards preparatory to being trucked, attempted to jump a high fence. His foot got caught in the rails of the fence, and his leg was broken at the fetlock. The colt showed great promise.
