BRITISH DAIRY MERGER.
THREE MILLIONS CAPITAL. TO CONTROL 3500 SHOPS. LONDON, February 21. A merger of interest to dairy producers is announced. The Home and Colonial Stores are increasing their capital to £3,000,000, purchasing ordinary preferred and ordinary shares of Meadows Dairy Company, which has a controlling interest in Pearks Dairies, and several other companies. It is .also associated with the management of Liptons. It is understood the deal represents about £2,833,000. The combine will control 3500 shops throughout the country.
