I have never seen such quantities before, especially pears and tomatoes, and so cheap that people can have a good feed for •.•nee in a way. Children are not a bit carefuL or parent* either, a? to whether the fruit w wa-hed or peeled, or whether it is sound fruit, and th>. I believe, is the cause of the present prevalence of sickness.
