The eye of a Pekingese dog named Jim, which was almost torn out in a street fight, has been saved by the kindness of a specialist at Hull Royal Infirmary, who consented to act as a veterinary surgeon. Spectators carried the dog to the infirmary, near which the fight occurred, and Jim was chloroformed and the eye replaced.
