A meeting of debenture holders of the Bay of Plenty Winter Show Association was held last night. Jt was annouticed that suflicient financial support liad been obtained for the erection of a wood and iron luiilding. Resolutions were parried authnr:-ing the executive to proceed with the erection, of a wood and iron building or. a harbour hoard lease, providing tfte board agree- to waive its condition that the building be in concrete and to extend the term of lease from the proposed 42 years to an indeterminate lease renewable on valuation von' 21 years, and failing such agreement that the building be erected on a freehold site at the corner of„\Vairere Street, anrt Clifton Road, oyer which the association holds an option of purchase at £ir>n.
A special meeting Of the Harbour Board has been called tor. Tuesday night next to meet the executive in an endeavour to agree on terms',
