The Hon. E. A. Ransom. Minister of Public Works, will be making an official visit to Whakatane on Wednesday next. The executive committee of the Chamber of Commerce met last nipht. when it wan resolved to wait on the Minister in regard to land settlement, tbe proposed deviation of the Wainui Road, tbe completion of that Galatea Road, and tbe question of borough. valuations. ______^^^
