The English cricketers to-day concluded their match against Balla'rat, ih* game ending in a draw.
When stumps were drawn on Saturday the visitors had made 347 runs far seven wickets, Leyland (Gl) and Hobbe (22) being the not out men. The score was raised to 493 for nine wickete when Chapman declared the inning closed. °
Bennetts' average was seven wickete for 127 runs.
The local side, batting 13 men, w«e disposed of for 77 runs in the first ineings (J. Trethowan 21. Beames 21). Tn the second innings the score was 176 for seven wickets (Xylander 31, W. Trethowan 24.
