CAPT. LARKIN CENSURED

CANBERRA, this day

The Board of Inquiry appointed by the public service commissioners to investigate Captain Larkin's charges of alleged bribery against Mr. M. L. Shepherd, Secretary of the Defence Department, reported that the charges \yere not proved.

The Minister of Defence accordingly lifted Mr. Shepherd's suspension. Tinboard expressed the opinion that Captain Lark in appeared to be readily prone to suspicion and seemed to look for ulterior motives, when decisions were against his company.

The complaints lodged, by Captain Larkin are unwarranted.
