TO DAYS MEETING
The fir>t fortnightly meeting of the Auckland Advertising Clul. since the holidays held to-day in the Lewis Eady Concert Hall was well attended, tho-r , present including a numl»er of visitor^.
The chairman. Mr. A. H. Lee<. in opening the meeting, notiii«-<] that he had been compelled owing to the pre;-t-ure of other <luti<-> i<i relinquish the presidency and that the committee had decided to recommend that the vicepresident. Mr. G. C. Codlin, should l>9 appointed.
Thi-i recommendation was unanimously adopted and a resolution was passed recognisir- the splendid work rendered in the j- to the association by the retiring prv it. In his response Mr. Lees mentioned that the club had doubled its membership during the pa»t four vears.
The speaker of the day was Mr. W. J. Holdsworth. chairman of the Auckland Klectric Power Board, who spoke on civic responsibility.
