Three wagons on a goods train were derailed at a point half a mile south of Mataroa. about 2 o'clock this morning. A breakdown train from Taihape cleared the line at 5.45 a.m.. but the first express from Auckland was delayed at Ohakuno till the second express arrived. They went on together to Tuihape. Not much damage was done by the derailment, the cause of which is a mvsterv.
