Robert Millar and Company have received advice that the steamer AngloColumbian has been chartered to load a full cargo of sulphur at Galveston. Texas, on January 28. The vessel will discharge 2000 tons at Auckland and the remainder at Australian ports. She is due at Auckland about the middle of March. IRIS RETURNED. After repairing a break in the Wellius-ton-Sydney cable, the cable steamer Iris returned to Auckland this morning. She left Auckland last Thursday morning and reached the spot where the fault had occurred, about 300 miles from Wellington, on Monday morning. The cable was found after an hour's search anrl a new niece inserted between the several ends. The whole job was done in 24 hours, the weather holrlin? fine. throughout. T'nn inspection of the inter-isiand cable across ! Cook Strait has been postponed, probably until the end of the month.

The Coronation sailed last night for Whangarei. The steamers Awahou and Gunbar. ana the schooner Elsie Mary, sailed for East Coast ports yesterday afternoon.

Nine days out from Dunedin, Nobel's auxiliary topsail schooner Huia arrived at Greymouth last night. After discharging explosives she will complete her cargo of timber there for Sydney.

Cabled advice from London states that the eteamer Indianola left Antwerp on Tuesday with a full cargo of basic slag for New Zealand. No intimation of her probable itinerary has been received here.

At present loading at Napier, the Canadian National steamer Canadian Britisher is due at Auckland on Sunday. It Is hoped to dispatch he* for New York Boston and Halifax on Monday night

On her return voyage to Vancouver, the Union Company's B.M.m.s. Aorangi wae to clear Sydney at noon to-day. She » due at Auckland on Sunday evening and is announced to sail for Suva, Honolulu and Vancouver at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

In continuation of her voyage from Liverpool, the Federal steamer Northumberland is to sail on Saturday afternoon for Wellington, Lyttelton. Dunedin and Bluff.

To put out the remainder of her general cargo from Pacific Coast ports, the Union Company's Reamer Wairuna is to sail at 3 p.m. to-day for Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. RBMUERA DELATED. The departure of the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Remuera for Napier and Southern Ports for further Homeward loading, has been postponed to Monday afternoon. PIRI FOR AUSTRALIA. At the King's wharf the Nobel schooner Piri is loading timber for Hobart. She is to go to Greymouth to complete, taking also a small quantity of explosives for discharge at New Plymouth and Greymouth. NIAGARA LEFT VANCOUVER. The local office of the Union Company has received cabled advice confirming the departure from Vancouver at noon yesterday of the R.M.s. Niagara, with passengers, mails and cargo for Honolulu, Suva, Auckland and Sydney. She is due at Auckland on January 28. TREWIDDEN TO-MORROW. Wireless advice from the Hain Line steamer Trewiflicn states she will arrive from Montreal early to-morrow morning. The vessel is under charter to the Canadian National Steamships and has general merohanidse for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Geelong TAMAROA LOADING. From Wellington, the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Tamaroa arrived at Auckland this morning, and berthed at the Central wharf to complete loading for London. She is announced to sail for Southampton and London on January 19. taking passengers and mails as well as cargo. WAIOTAPU REPORTS. En route from Calcutta to New Zealand, the Fnion Company's steamer Waiotapu radios thnt she will call at Newcastle- next Sunday, leaving again the following dav for Lyttelton. Timaru. Dunedin, Bluff, Wellington and Anckland. CANADIAN TRANSPORTER SAILED. The Canadian Transporter sailed for Wellington. Lyttelton. Timaru and Dunedin yesterday afternoon to complete discharging cargo from Canada and also to load for her homeward voyage.
