BEDROOM SCENE.
YOUNG MAN'S CURIOSITY. I WOMAN SCREAMED IN ALARM. EPISODE IX PARXELL. Curiosity was too much for Frank Archibald McMillan (21), a* he pushed his bicycle up the steep ascent of Parnell Rise last evening. This morning McMillan stood in the dock at the Police Court charged with being found on enclosed premises at 150. Parnell Road, without lawful excuse. Passing by the window of a bedroom in which someone was retiring for the night, McMillan had his attention arrested by what he saw. and showed a disposition to linger in the vicinity. SubInspector McCarthy said the young man went into the premises next door to obtain a better view of the bedroom, and was noticed by a woman who could dimly see him moving about. She gave the alarm by screaming out from where she was on the verandah, and McMillan, forgetting his interest in the bedroom, sought to escape without loss of time. In this desire he was frustrated by the owner of the house, who grabbed him and kept him in charge until the jtolice arrived. Mr. McCarthy added that the young man bore a good character, and was apparently the victim of his own curiosity. McMillan was convicted and fined £1.
