FIRE AT PARNELL

At 8.15 this morning the brigade was called to No. 15, Eldon Street, Parnell, to suppress a fife in a motor garage on the property of Mrs. OTlara. A member of Mrs. O'Hara's family was endeavouring to start up the engine of a car when flames burst out. It was not a back-fire, and the happening is attributed to a defect in the wiring system.

The car was Badly damaged, and so was the garage. The insurance on the motor vehicle was £50. The garage was not seperately insured, but was included in the general policy on the house, the amount of the insurance being £1500 In the Victoria office.
