TWO CABS OBABH HEAD-ON
SYDNEY, January 8.
Four people were killed and Iβ others were injured in two motor accidents yesterday. The more serious of the accidents occurred on the Blue Mountains Road at Lawson. A large tourist omnibus containing 22 sightseers and holiday-makers collided with a telegraph pole when the driver tried to avoid a collision with a private car. Miss Annie Haig, aged 36, of Fitaroy, Melbourne, and Miss Isabel McFadyen, aged 35, of Mosman, Sydney, were killed. Three other women passengers were severely injured. The bus was badly damaged. The second accident was responsible for two deaths. The victims were Mrs. Gay, aged 61, of Granville, and Thelma Healy, aged three. This occurred on the Parramatta Road at Flemington. Two cars crashed head-on. The party was on the way to a cemetery to attend a fnneral. Three of the n»J™ people sustained fractures of the skulL
