LONDON TO AUSTRALIA
LONDON, January 5.
The Australian merchants met to consider the increased freight*, and tuey will peek another conference with the shipping companies to-morrow. The "Daily Mail" says it understands that the new shipping freight ratee to Australia will com* into operation a fortnight hence. They range from 2/« in the lower schedule* to 10/ in the higher.
