WEST END CLUB. MR. R. L. STEWART'S TROPHIES. Members of the West End Rowing Club resumed their club racing programme on Saturday, when a t-et of trial fours was rowed for trophies donated by Mr. R. L. Stewart. Four crews competed. The long course from the reclamation to Punsonby Bath-> was rowed, and ideal water conditions prevailed. Starting was by mutual consent, and club officials acted as judges. The first heat crews were: F. Conway, W. Bloxham, A. Dalton, D. Stotter, L. Matthews (cox) ; J. Haylock. R. Woodside, A. Lawrence, M. Conway, K. Conway (cox). Haylock's crew got the best of the start, and were about half a length ahead off the red house. Passing the Haylock had increased his lead to one length. Conway then spurted and closed up slightly, but on the run along Shelly Beach Haylock drew out and won by a length and a-half. The second heat crews were: V. McFarlane, A. C. Xorden. W. H. Conway, P. Soufflott, L. Matthews (cox); G." Conwar, L. Strange, C. Parvin. F. Baker, K. Conway (cox). McFarlane's crew got the best of the start, and led for the first hundred yards. Conway then forged ahead, and in front of the hoathouse had a lead of a length. MoFarlane challenged, but Con way's crew responded and held their lead to win bv one length.

The crew? in the final wore stroked hy -T. Haylock and (i. Con way. Jumping away to a fine start. Haylofk's crewsoon gained a slight lead.
