HOSPITAL BOARD PORTERS.

In reply to "Corrected" regarding hospital porters, I wish to apologise for the slight misstatement I made. But I would like to ask him two questions. Firstly, does he think it right that the Hospital "Board should be exempt from paying the minimum living -wage to its employees, as laid down under the Arbitration Act! He will surely agree that these men give longer hour* anil better service than lots of in other industries. So how can the Hospital Board maintain that they : ,,e treated justly* And does he think it right that new men should have to accent a much lower wage than the others for the hrst three years? In f ac t. it works out at something like r>o per cent less, and at the same. time, in some eases, they are called on to do more work than receiving the full wa "°- JUSTICE.
