After the Goodwood Handicap, the opening event yesterday, the stewards held an inquiry and decided to suspend A. Tinker, rider of Mervette, " for one month, it being held that he had interfered with Sleepy Sol. Subsequently Tinker lodged an appeal against tht suspension. An inquiry was also held into the start of the Royal Stakes, and it was found that when the barrier lifted Ceremony jumped across and interfered with Supremacy.
