KIPPAX 260 NOT OUT. 810 SCORE AT MELBOURNE. (Receded 1.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. In the Sheffield Shield match between Victoria and New South Wales, NewSouth Wales in their first innings made 420. Kippax scored 260 not out and Hooker 6*2. The Kippax-Hoojcer partnership was responsible for 307 runs, a record for inter-State cricket. Bowling for Victoria, Ironmonger took three wickots for 95, Hendry three for 58, A'Beckett two for 92 and Ebeling two for 81. Victoria in their second innings scored 251 for six wickets. A'Beckett made 95 and Hendry 65 not out.
