There wan a srood attendance at the second concert of the Harmonic Society oh *nUay night. Prior to the commencement, the president. Dr. Roberts, on behalf of the members of the society, made two presentations one of a hook of operas to Mrs. La men, the pianist, and the other a silverlnounted baton to Mr. Long, the conductor, for their untiring work during tbe vear. The society Tendered three items. M'iss Trim, Miss Cakier. Mr. Gardiner and Mr. Blennernasset were successful soloists. Two duets were sung by Mrs. Blacklock and Miss Lightband. Mrs. Lars en and Mrs. Angus supplied the accompaniments.
