PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY.
TRIBUTE TO LATE MR. H. P. CAUGHEY.

The prize-giving and "brealring-np" ceremony in connection with the We3ley Training College, Paerata, took place yesterday afternoon in the presence of a fair attendance of parents. The chairman of the College Trust Board, the Rev. E. Drake, presided. Feeling reference was made by the chairman and the principal of the college, Mr. R. C. Clark, M.A., to the deaths of the late Mr. H. P. Caugbey, who was chairman of the board, and Mr. A. Caughey, a member of the board. It was stated that in the late Mr. H. P. Caughey the college had a friend whose lose was irreparable. The college ioepital and chapel, which are Hearing completion, stand, as tangible evidence o" growth made during Mr. Caughey'a chairmanship. His wide knowledge of affairs, his enthusiasm and his ardent idealism were wholly at the command of the college. They were deeply indebted to him for what he had done for the institution.
The scholastic prizes were presented by Mrs. R. C. Clark, wife of the principal, and the sports prizes by Mrs. H. I*. Fiebig, wife of the college chaplain.
