STONEMASONS' DISPUTE.
POSITION TO BE DISCUSSED
Efforts are being made to-day to arrange a conference between the stonemasons who are involved in the dispute concerning the use of a machine in, the fashioning of stone for the new railway station, and representatives of their employer*, the Hanford and Mills Con. struct ioi: Company, of Wellington. Meantime the position is unchanged and no settlement of the trouble has been arrived at.
Appeal has been lodged against the decision of Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., in regard to the machine, which was against the claims of the men. The appeal will have to be heard by ihm. Arbitration Courfe.
