A supplementary estimate which will be presented to the House of Commons to-day in order to carry out the plan for helping to relieve the distress in. the mining areas amounts, in all, to £295,625. The estimate is made up as follows:— Grant in aid of the Lord Mayor's fund, £150,000; transference of unemployed working people, £100,000; reliefs in dietressed mining areas in Scotland, £20,625; and unemployment relief works in Royal parks and pleasure gardens, £20,000,
