LONDON, December 5.
The cruiser Enterprise was hastily refuelled at Aden, and left there a few hours after her arrival. There was no ceremonial, no guns being fired, no flags flown. While waiting to resume his journey the Prince played a round of golf. j Owing to the remarkable speeding-up of the cruiser it is now believed that the Prince will arrive at Suez on Friday morning, whereas normally he would not arrive until early on Saturday, The actual arrangements for his journey from Suez are uncertain at present. The plan is that he should take the express from Suez to Alexandria and then board the Frobisher for either Brindisi or Naples, where he would take a special train direct for Calais or Boulogne. The Italian Government has offered an aeroplane to convey the Prince from Alexandria direct to Brindisi. A British destroyer will be in readiness in the Channel. Should these arrangements be carried out, the Prince should reach London on Tuesday. By flying from Alexandria to Brindisi the Prince would save at least a day. A. British official wireless message says the Enterprise covered the distance of 1750 miles from Dar-es-Salaam to Aden in 73§ hours, which is one of the_ quickest journeys on record for a cruiser in a hot region in time of peace. The Prince when representing the King Will have to attend numerous important military functions. There is also a strong likelihood that he will be promoted to an admiral. The Duke of York Iβ not on the active army list. • His chief military interests are centred in the Royal Air Force.
