OBITUARY.
HI, THOMAS BASSETT.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DARGAVTLI/E, this day.
Mr. Thomas Bassett, founder of the Northern Wairoa Dairy Company, and chairman of directors for over 25 years, is dead, aged 72. More recently he had been managing director of the company. He wait member of the Kaipara Hospital Board from its inception, and at one time was a member of every local body in the district. Born in Ireland in 1856, Mr. Bassett cam 4 to the district, with his parents in 1876. He is survived by his widow and a family of two sons and one daughter.
