ADELAIDE, November 30.
The return Sheffield Shield cricket match, South Australia versus Victoria, was commenced to-day. Both sides were weakened by the absence of their stalwarts, who are playing in the Test match, and Blackie also was unable to play for Victoria. The wicket and the weather were good.
South Australia woo the toss and b' tted first. They made 386 for four wickets (V. Richardson 27, Harris 155, Hone 103 not out, Pellew 64). Mullet took two wickets for 199. >
