SHOTS IN COURT.
PRISONER THE TARGET
IRevenge For Murder Of Albanian
Minister.
JURY FLEE IN PANIC.
(Australian and N.Z. Press Association.)
(Received 11 a.m.) VIENNA, November 30. Eight revolver shots, which were fired just as the Court was adjourning for lunch, abruptly ended the trial of the Albanian student, Alikebiad Bedi, charged with murdering the Albanian Minister, Cena Beg, last year at Prague.
Bedi had just finished giving his evidence, in which he said that he was sent to carry out the assassination on behalf of the Albanian Revolutionists, when a former servant of brother whipped out a revolver loaded with dumdum bullets.
One hit Bedi, it is believed- fatally, while others wounded included a journalist and an interpreter, but their injuries were not serious.
The jurymen fled in panic. One jumped to the floor and broke his arm, while women fainted. The Court cleared like magic. The servant was arrested.
