ACCIDENT TO GIRL.
CITY COUHCn. PATS £650. COMPENSATION FOB INJURY. By payment of a sum of £650, the Auckland City Council has obtained a settlement of an action brought by Mr. E. Casev, divisional superintendent of railways" in consequence of an accident to his* daughter, aged three years, in May last. The child received severe injuries in a collision between a motor car and a tram, and her left foot had to be amputated.
