ONEHUNGA CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH.
The annual meeting of the Onehunga Congregational Church was held last night. The president, Mr. C. Moon, occupied the chair and there was a large attendance of members. The report of the year's work, presented by Mr. P. Tozer, secretary, showed that all the church activities had been well maintained and gave promise of further increase for the new year under the pastorate of Mr. J. Gordon Smith. The financial statement prepared by Mr. Geo. Cooper, treasurer, gave a credit balance of £7, after liquidating an extra liability of £50 raised by the ladies' guild at a sale of work last week. There are 67 members on the church roll and a large number of adherents who are non communicants. The two gymnasiums for young people had had a successful winter season. All the reports were adopted. The president, secretary and treasurer were re-elected, as were all the deacons, with the addition of Mr. Stan Moon. The delegates appointed to the district meetings are Mesdames Parker, Cooper and Miss Gillman, and Messrs. 6. Cooper, P. Tozer and R. A. Jackson. The re-election of the management con niittee followed, with Mr. F. Chappel convener. The post of envelope secretary was allotted to Miss Neilson and Miss Chappel accepted a similar position of i the Watchers' Band.
