I felt and still feel strongly that there should be women in Parliament. But I felt still more stronglr that Reform should be voted out. Although for some reasons I wished to see Miss Melville elected, I voted against her. There were thousands in a similar position. I would not to say when a woman will be elected to our Parliament, but I venture to say that she most either stand for a "safe" seat—and for the "safe" seats there will always be an abundance of men offering—or she must be a woman of outstanding personality and achievement standing as an Independent. MALE LIBERAL.
