BATHERS DROWNED.
YOUTH LOST AT SUMNER. BODY FOUND AMONG ROCKS. ONE LEG BROKEN AT THIGH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Cyril Campbell Armour, aged 15 years, gecjnd son of the Rev. T. W. Armour, was drowned at Sumner on Saturday afternoon. Evidently he went for a swim at the boat harbour and was unable, because of weakness, to get back on the rocks. The boy went to Sumner with his mother and other members of the family, and he was last seen alive at 4 p.m! Search parties were out all day yesterday, but no trace was found of the boy till towarrts evening, when fishermen reported that they had seen an object among the boulders at Whitewash Head. A boat was then sent out and Armour's body was discovered. One leg was broken at the thigh.
