DANGEROUS DRIVING.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. Mr. A. J. Dawson, borough electrician, was driving members of the commerce train party a'ong Bank Street on the evening of November 3 when his car was struck by another driven by George Irwin, considerable danfttge being caused. Irwih, who was charged at the Whangarei Magistrate's Court this morning with driving in a dangerous manner, said that he was unused to driving in traffic. Relying on a passenger for directions to avoid another car he swung to the right, a collision resulting.* He had since procured a driver's license. Mr. Luxford, S.M., said he attributed the accident' to Jrwin's negligence, and fined him £3, with costs 16/.
