LIMITED LATE.
DELAYED BY HOT BOX. WOOL BUYERS CROWD TRAIN. Owing to a hot box on a do luxe sleeper, the Limited express made a slow trip from Wellington, and arrived at Auckland an hour and three-quarters behind schedule this morning. The trouble, which developed at Taumarunni, caused several stoppages to be made along the line, but before the train reached the central station it had been attended to by a train examiner. Passengers had a wearisome journey, and their tempers were made more testy than otherwise because of the' dust nuisance.
The train was a particularly heavy one, having ten vehicles, including the engine and guard's van. Sixty wool buyers, coming to Auckland for the wool sale next week, taxed accommodation to the utmost, and it was found necessary to put on five sleepers instead of the usual three. Two first class and one second class carriages were also attached to the train.
