OBITUARY.

f INDIAN MUTINY VETERAN.

A veteran of the Crimea War and the Indian Mutiny, Mr. Charles William Eyre, died in Tauranga yesterday at the age of 94 years. After receiving his discharge in England he came to New Zealand 45 years ago, and settled in the Gate Pa district, -where bo has since resided. His wife died in March last, and there is no family.
