SWIMMING.
SPLASHES FROM DUNEDIN.
-MISS JKPSOX MAY COME BACK. (By Telegraph— Special to "Star.") DUNEDIX, this day. The Otago Swimming Centre k enthusiastic about the visit of Johnny Wcismullcr, the American swimming ace, and is prepared to accept a two-nights' carnival for a guarantee of £75. Failing •the two nights' fixture the centre will accept a one-night irala at £50, but when one considers that there arc few swimming centres near to Duncdin it is not too much, to expect that Otago should be allotted two nights. Miss Kathleen Miller left Dunedm yesterday to take up residence in Wellington. Her mother is settling there, as the remainder of the family have been working there for some time past. Mise Miller is swimming well at present, but announces that this will probably bo her last year in championship swimming. It is her intention to offer her services as a professional coach.
In the absence of Miss Miller, Otago's representative in ladies' events at the New Zealand championships is doubtful. Miss M. Jcpson may yet decide to 'takepart in active competition. She would ccrtainlv be welcomed.
