Hurley Reaches And Leaves Bagdad.
TRYING FLIGHT OVER GULF.
(Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 0.30 a.m.) BAGDAD, November 20. Arriving last night from Busbire, Captain Hurley, who with Flight-Lieuten-ants Moir and Owen is attempting a flight from Australia to England and back, attempted an early take-off for Ramleh, but was prevented by mud. He succeeded later. Captain Hurley eays that the passage across the Persian Gulf was a most trying ordeal. They were fighting sandstorms all the time.
TROUBLESOME DELAY.
BAD WEATHER MET.
(United Service.) (Received 12 noon.) BAGDAD, November 20. Captain Hurley writes that he reached Bagdad two hours ahead of time. The aerodrome was deep in mud and slush and he will have to wait till tbe sun bakes the surface before being able to depart. Had we not been held up in Persia we would have escaped the despicable weather encountered.
