Missing Woman Arrested For
Stealing.
CLOTHES FOB CHILDREN.

SYDNEY, this day.
Mrs. Maud Hill, a Sydney woman, who was reported yesterday to be missing from her home at Paddington, was, discovered in the Long Bay gaol. She had stolen a few trifling articles uf clothing for her children on Friday night and was arrested.
She was so ashamed that she would not give her correct name or ,anv address. She Could have had her sentence suspended if she had given a name or address entered on and a bond, but she declined to do so and had to go to gaol.
The police noticing a similarity in thr description of the missing woman and the prisoner investigated and cleared the matter up. Her friends immediately came to the woman's assistance and provided a bond. She was released and rejoined her family.
