N.Z. SPORTING AND DRAMATIC REVIEW. The Popular Paper For the Home. For sheer artistry in reproduction it would be difficult to surpass the current issue of the "New Zealand Sporting and Dramatic Review." The photographs are particularly attractive, featuring a. coloured supplement of the beautiful screen star, Barbara Kent. The centre pages are devoted to pictures of interesting events overseas, including international horse show and. polo, Duchess of York launches Pacific liner, and the Prince of Wales in Egypt. Carnival Race Week is depicted in a full-page picturisation of events, including the New Zealand Derby, the C.J.C. Metropolitan Handicap, and also the New Zealand Trotting Club's meeting at Addington. An artistic page is devoted to the Gisborne Amateur Operatic Society's production of "The Arcadians." The frontispiece is occupied by pictures of the Byrd Antarctic expedition. An animated series of pictures of the Whangarei Racing Club's spring meeting is included, and there is a strong miscellaneous section, comprising the King of Spain in the Scottish Highlands, Manawatil A. and P. Association Spring Show, the first landing at Anzac since the war, and the final appearance in the Dominion of the English tennis players. The "Review" is on sale at all booksellers and stationers.—(Ad.)
Attention is directed to an advertisement appealing in this issue regarding the issue of holiday excursion tickets and train arrangements in connection with the Otahuhu Trotting Club's meeting on 17th and 21st inst.
