CHARGES REITERATED.

TREATMENT OF T.B. PATIENTS.

A further reply to the challenge of the chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board was made last evening by Mr. R. B. Speirs, United candidate for Auckland West, when addressing a large meeting in the Heme Bay Mission Hall, Mr. Speirs reiterated his charges, which, he said, were based on unshakable' evidence, that the inmates of the T3 shelters under the control of the board were dissatisfied with the treatment accorded them. The candidate had stated that, the inmates were chary of coming forward personally, as that might jeopardise their position. Mr. Speirs declared that he was prepared to* reiterate his charges, and was in a position to bring evidence to prove them.
