OUTDOOR CAMPAIGN.
MR. SAVAGE ON EDUCATION.
Addressing four large audiences in different . parts of Auckland West last night, Mr. M. J. Savage, the Labour candidate, dealt at length with the policy of the Reform Government in relation to State lending institutions. Mr. Savage criticised the administration of the Education Department, and prophesied that the time was not far distant when Education Boards would be things of the past and the Minister endowed with absolute power. The tendency at present was to cut down expenditure on education, which appeared to be a questionable form of economy. Votes of thanks and continued confidence were carried unanimously at each, meeting.
