MR. COATES BUSY.
ROUND OF ADDRESSES.
The Prime Minister addressed two meetings called for ladies yesterday afternoon. The first address was given at the Dβ Luxe Theatre, Mount Albert, there being a fair attendance, and the proceedings went off quietly, as the audience was composed mostly of women. It was different at Newmarket, where the Municipal Hall, was crowded, a third of the audience being men, Mr. Coatee was subjected to some interruptions, but, generally speaking, he was able to hold his own. One man was roughly ejected by • constable. There was quite an army of policemen present, but with the exception named they were not called Tipon to interfere. At Mount Albert Mr. Coatea spoke in the interests of Miss Melville, candidate for Roskill, and at Newmarket for Mrs. Maguire, candidate for Auckland Eaet, ', ' til
