AMERICAN MOTHERS' TIME OF TRIAL.
(Published by Arrangement.)
(The following special letter to New Zealand is written by Mrs. T. F. duPontBayard, wife of the distinguished United States Senator, the Hon. T. F. fcayard.) Bohemia Manor, Chesapeake City, Maryland.
I think that prohibition has done, and is doing, this country a vast amount of harm. Young people who never thought of taking strong liquor when wine and beer were used, now think nothing of using strong cocktails.
I hope sincerely that in a short time the American people will demand the repeal of this 18th Amendment, and I sincerely hope that no such time of trial as we have and are still going through will be visited on #ew Zealand.
Very truly yours, (Signed)
ELIZABETH duPONT-BAYARD. (Mrs. T.F.) Keep out that disastrous farce called prohibition. ''Vote Continuance.
