ESCAPEE FROM RAETIHI. BURGLARIES ADMITTED. COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE. (By Telegraph'.—Own Correspondent. I OHAKUNE, Monday. Chas. Wm. Wahle pleaded guilty in the Police Court to-day to charges of obtaining £25 13/2 from Tommy Chan, grocer, at Ohakune, and £4 9/6 from Adiel Havelr, of Ohakune Junction, by means of valueless cheques, and to four charges of breaking and entering and theft ;it Ohakune Junction, Makaranui and Poakak on or about October 23, after he had escaped from Raetihi gaol. Accused was committed for sentence at the Supreme Court Auckland. The hearing of the charge of escaping from the Raetihi police gaol is proceeding before Messrs. E. Larkin and G. Sargeant, J.P.'s.
