WAY TO PROSPERITY.

■ ■■ N "RETURN THE UNITED PARTY" ROSKILL CANDIDATE'S ADVICE Mr. G. C. Munns, United candidate for Roskill, has addressed enthusiastic meetings in the open air throughout the electorate, receiving votes of thanks and confidence at all gatherings. He has criticised the Reform Government's hopeless policy in regard to the land, showing that the only activity in connection with settlement has been an endeavour to keep people on the land,, rather than to ojHSn up any new areas. Mr. Munns stressed the fact that Reform had failed in this endeavour, since thousands have walked off the land, swelling the numbers of unemployed in the towns and cities. "The United party has a definite, progressive policy," said Mr. Munns, speaking at Onslow Road on Saturday night. "Sir Joseph Ward will make £60,000,000 available for land settlement, over a period of ten years, and will complete the authorised long lines of railways, by expending £10,000,000. Men placed on the land, under the group settlement scheme, will thus be able to market their produce without loss by depreciation. For every man on the land, two men can be employed in the city. Return the United party, and ensure the prosperity of New Zealand."
