MR. R. W. MATTHEW.

(By Telegraph—Press . Association.) WELLINGTON", this day. His Majesty's Trade Commissioner in Wellington has received cabled advice of the death, on November 8, after a short illness, of Mr. R. W. Matthew, C.M.G., Chevalier of the Legion of Honour, and Director of the Empire Trades and Economic Divisions of the Department of Overseas Trade in London. Mr. Matthew was born 111 1879. and entered the War Office in 1903. He was transferred a year later to the Board of Trade, and in 1917 joined the Department of Overseas Trade.
